19 Weeks

Best Moment this Week: Mother's Day!  We went to Torchy's Tacos for lunch and delicious queso, played at the park and got Starbucks on the way home. . . perfect Sunday :) On Tuesday I went in for an ultrasound.  It was so fun to see the little peanut, especially since I haven't been feeling a whole lot of movement.  I was tempted to find out the gender, but stayed strong lol I closed my eyes when the Tech did that part.  Seeing the tiny baby's fingers, toes, brain, spine and his or her perfect face reminds me what a miracle being pregnant is!

Symptoms: Feeling pretty good overall! By 5 or 6 in the evening I am ready for bed, but other than that feeling good!

Movement: This week I started feeling more solid movements, but still not very often.  During my ultrasound the technician said that I have an anterior placenta which may cause some delay in feeling movement.

Looking Forward To: Feeling more movement soon! And on a non-baby note, we are packing up to move in just a few short weeks. I can't wait to get the move over with and settle into our new house!!!!

18 Week Bump

17 Weeks

(my shirt has wet spots because I had just taken Charley out of the bath!)

Best Moment This Week: I am finally feeling some wiggles!  It took me a minute to realize it was the baby and not my stomach, but I am certain I felt the little babe squirming around :) I've also been feeling better this week: not as nauseous, not as lightheaded, my appetite is getting back to normal, more energetic.  Yay! Hopefully this keeps up!

Best Moment for 16 Weeks: My 25th Birthday!  We went to Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls on Saturday to celebrate.  It was muddier than we thought it would be, so we didn't pick very many strawberries, but we still had a great time.  Charley loved petting the goats and being outside!  After the berry farm we went to downtown Marble Falls to visit some boutiques and eat lunch on the lake.  It was low-key, but just what I wanted!

Symptoms: I've had a few days of on and off headaches, which is no fun, but I am so grateful that my stomach is back to normal!! We got BBQ on Thursday and Mexican food over the weekend! Such a joy to devour chips and queso again :D

Movement: Like I said above, I am feeling some wiggles.  So excited to finally have a good symptom of pregnancy ;)

Looking Forward To: I know it is a few weeks off, but I am getting excited for my 20 week ultrasound and to see the little baby again.

For those of you who don't know, we are not finding out the gender of this baby.  Neither of us have a preference of a boy or girl as long as we have a healthy baby!  We thought it would be exciting to let it be a surprise and since we have almost everything we need from Charley, I'm not stressed about buying a bunch of stuff.  A lot of people I've talked to say they can't imagine waiting and it would stress them out.  For me it is actually a stress reliever lol I have gotten some grey/white blankets and outfits for the first few weeks in case the baby is a boy.  Other than that, I don't have to be worried about preparing too much for the baby because since I don't know the gender, it limits what I can do.  As it gets closer to my due date I may be more anxious about it, but for now I'm just enjoying the baby in my belly. . . boy or girl :)

Since I have been feeling better, Charley and I have been out and about soaking up the beautiful weather and enjoying Austin before we move in a few weeks!

Last weekend we stayed around home, packed and painted as a family.

I did the circles, Call did the grey vine-like parts and Charley blended it all together!  It was so much fun and actually not as messy as I thought it would be.

Some pictures of Charley enjoying the spring weather at the park!  We go almost every day and cycle through a few different parks that are close by.

15 Weeks

Best Moment This Week:  Went in for my 4 month check-up and everything is going good with baby!  I, on the other hand, am having some issues with feeling lightheaded and weak, mostly in the mornings so my OB is having me go to a Cardiologist.  Not looking forward to that, but whatever I need to do to keep myself and baby healthy is worth it.
Symptoms: Lightheaded and weak on and off, but mostly in the morning.  I lay down and feel better within a few minutes, but my Dr. wants to make sure it is not a symptom of a more serious issue.  Thank goodness my nausea has almost completely gone away!! I still get sick randomly…trying to narrow down what is causing that.
Movement: STILL WAITING. . .
Cravings: Breakfast food and popsicles
Looking Forward To: My visit with the Cardiologist later this week to hopefully rule out any underlying problems.  Also can't wait to feel the little peanut move!

Ok, so this blogging thing is a lot more difficult to get done with Charley around.  I am also not working full-time this time around, so I am not dressed up everyday and picture-ready lol I am a couple weeks behind, but will catch up and hopefully be able to keep up with posting on a more weekly basis!

My little distractor ;)

Packing is in full swing, as you can see from the huge box behind Charley.  The countdown to moving day is on!!! Can't wait to move and get settled for Baby #2!

13 Weeks

Best Moment This Week: Technically it was last week, but we got an ultrasound at my last appointment. It is always fun to see the little baby wiggle around and look more like a baby! It is also a nice reminder that I am actually pregnant :)
Symptoms: On and off nausea, exhausted, not much of an appetite ... Ready for the second trimester to set in
Movement: Nothing yet, but I hear you feel the baby sooner the second time around so I'm patiently waiting. . .
Cravings: Chips, Cool Ranch Doritos in particular, and anything bready
Looking Forward To: Feeling some movement and hopefully getting my appetite back soon!

Baby Windham #2

We are so happy to let everyone know that this fall Charley will become a big sister!

I am about 3 months along, and finally feeling well enough to really be excited for another baby.  I had a rough first trimester with nausea and exhaustion but luckily, I am beginning to feel like myself again!

I plan on doing weekly pictures/updates like I did with Charley and will be starting those as soon as we get the chalkboard in the mail :)

So excited to finally be able to talk about the baby and share pictures!!!

Nine Month Old Charley

Having fun at the hotel when we took our impromptu trip to Fort Worth

Grocery shopping with Mom

Video games with Dad

I'm not sure why but Charlotte is obsessed with our broom.  She swings it around, passes it from hand to hand, squats down and back up while holding it haha It keeps her entertained so I'm not asking questions

We went to Austin on Saturday to see some friends, took a trip to the Coop, got some bubble tea and had lunch on South Congress!

On Sunday we got our back porch set up and grilled some ribs.  Charley sat in her new swing for over an hour without a peep, so I'd say she's a fan of spending time outside…

And corn on the cob!

Hope y'all are enjoying summer as much as we are

Home Sweet Home. . . Almost

This past week has been a whirlwind of unpacking, seeing family and visiting our favorite places in Austin! While we are making progress, there is still ALOT to be done and Charley is not a fan of crawling around towers of boxes.  She has been understandably cranky this week and I can only hope she adjusts quickly.  Since Call started work today, we wanted to spend his last week of freedom having some fun in between the unpacking.

We got some delicious Round Rock donuts

We ate lunch at the famous Louis Mueller BBQ in Taylor

She loved the potato salad :)

We visited downtown Austin to eat some Tex Mex and of course visit the UT campus

After a relaxing Memorial Day weekend it's back to work and hopefully settling into a new routine!
